I just want to thank all the fine politicians 
that have my interest at heart…
From the price of groceries to the price of gas,
It seems you really have done your part!

And the raise you gave me at the first of the year
will surely be wisely spent…
It was generous to ‘cause I figured it up
and it came out to a whole twelve cents!

Now I know you all have a real tough time
mak’n ends meet on what you earn…
So be sure to call next election year…
to let me hear all your new concerns.

But there’s an old expression where I come from
so jot it down in your daily log…
Your ideas are about as useless to me 
as tits on an old boar hog!
