"Words"

Some words came to my mind just the other day
And I realized they were someth'n I wanted to say
But I didn't jot the dang things down right away
So now it seems I'm lost without my words

Now I've tried since then to search my brain
for the words I lost and it's driv'n me insane
"Cause I think if I find 'em there's somth'n to gain
So I wonder if anyone here has seen my words

I could offer a reward if I had some change
But with my luck they would all be rearranged
to a point I couldn't understand the dang thangs
So you see why I must be concerned about my words

Guess I'll try to think of a whole new phrase
With any luck I'll have enough to last all day
But if not then I guess it don't matter anyways
So give me a yell if you run across my lost words!
