Summary: During an "Avengers Day" parade, the A-team comes under attack by the Grim Reaper, Wonder Man, and six Avengers returned from the dead. Living Avengers: Captain America, Firestar, Giant-Man, Iron Man, Justice, the Scarlet Witch, Thor, the Vision and the Wasp. Dead Avengers: Captain Mar-Vell, Dr. Druid, Hellcat, a Skrull impersonating Mockingbird, the Swordsman and Thunderstrike. Cameos from the Fantastic Four (The Human Torch, the Invisible Woman, Mr. Fantastic, the Thing), Daredevil, Spider-Man, Stunt-Master.

Continuity: Hawkeye appears briefly, seen visiting The Commission. The results will be seen in flashbacks in "Decisions" (Thunderbolts/Next). A summary page of the Avengers’ greatest villains includes Erik (as Power Man) and both Heinrich and Helmut Zemo. During her brief return from the dead, the Skrull Mockingbird sends a cryptic message to Hawkeye which will resonate into "Under the Surface" ( 2000/05/01).

Comments: A weird and not completely convincing story, but did I mention that George Perez can draw!?
