FABRICS which suit your Figure - for your bridal gown
There is such an array of fabrics to choose from and to find the right one would be a wise choice for the budget.
If you are having your gown made by a dressmaker, ask her to accompany you to the fabric shop; she will be much more help to you than the person behind the counter.

Certain fabrics flatter certain figure types - the following will help you to choose the one that is best for you.
Your FIGURE                        FABRICS to look to

short, thin                         soft silks, soft sheers, georgette, chiffons, soft jerseys,
                                        over-all lace.

short, full figure                 soft silks, georgette, chiffon, lightweight crepe, soft
                                        lace
average height, weight        soft sheers, silk jersey, chiffons, taffeta, silk shantung

average height,                  soft fluid fabrics - chiffons, jersey, silk, taffeta,
full figure                          georgette, soft all-over lace, embrodiered nets

tall, thin                            any fabric of your choice, including the stiffer ones.
                                        Beautiful rich laces

tall, full figure                    softer fabrics.  Avoid the stiff ones.  large figure
