Thunderbolts Interest: Medium

Summary: After a rampage in Manhattan by the Hulk and various aliens, Damage Control tries to recruit super-heroes to help with the cleanup. The Thunderbolts show up to enforce registration policy.

Moonstone leads a T-Bolts team of Penance, Radioactive Man, Songbird, Swordsman and Venom. Damage Control is represented by Lenny Ballinger, Monstro, John Porter and Bart Rozum. Lots of heroes hang around in the background, including: the Black Panther, Daredevil, Dr. Strange, Iron Fist, Justice, Luke Cage, The Fantastic Four (The Human Torch, the Invisible Woman, Mr. Fantastic, the Thing), Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man, the Sentry, Storm, Triathlon, Wolverine, Yellowjacket and yet another new Goliath. The only one to get any dialogue is Slapstick.

The T-Bolts appearance spans the final three panels of "All the Fun" and pages 1-12 of "Litte House".

Continuity: Baldwin is shown in a flashback encounter with Bart Rozum, the kid who originally hired Robbie as an intern for Damage Control (see 1989/12/05). The scene occurs after Civil War (2007/02/02) but before Robbie joins the T-Bolts.

Comments: Performing vital structural repairs following metahuman battles, Damage Control (the organization) provides an important function in the Marvel Universe. Substituting weak jokes and dull office politics for plot, Damage Control (the comic) proves that "important" is not the same thing as "interesting". In their ten+ pages, the T-Bolts do little more than talk pointlessly.
